Dropprice is an innovative startup that rewards moms for being social. Essentially, they empower moms to drop prices of kids & baby products with a click. The price continues dropping as more moms click “Drop the price”. Every week new promotions are launched and moms drop prices by sharing them on social media. See the chart below to understand the power moms have and how important it is to share with other moms.
We are into the month of March and spring is just around the corner. I can’t wait for the longer days, fresh air and being able to go for more walks without having to be bundled up. Although losing an hour sleep for the first while is messing me up.
Most of us don’t think about cleaning our washing machine because we assume that when we put laundry detergent in, that it would clean our washing machine. I mean after all if it cleans our clothes it should clean our machine.
Sadly, that isn’t the case. By cleaning your washing machine, you prevent weird stains on your clothes.
I usually remember to do this when I am doing my spring or fall cleaning.
It is very easy to do with a top loader and front loader.
Being a mom with a chronic illness isn’t easy. Nightly you worry that you will let your children down by being too sick to do something the next day. What if you get sick and end up back at the hospital? So many what ifs that you worry about in your own mind.
When I found out I had kidney failure, my biggest fear was that I would leave my children without a mother. My father passed while my mother was pregnant with me. Even now at 38, I wish I had a chance to get to know my dad.
While sitting in the hospital bed for 8 days, I thought about what will happen. Will my kids know how much I love them if something did happen? Would they remember me. (At the time Hayley was 11 and Spencer was 7.) Even now thinking about all this, I have tears fall. I remember the fear I was feeling like it was yesterday.
Long Way North is set in the late-19th-century Saint Petersburg. Sacha, a young girl from the Russian aristocracy has always been fascinated by the exciting life of her grandfather, Oloukine, a renowned scientist and Arctic explorer who has yet to return from his latest expedition to conquer the North Pole. But Sacha’s parents, who have already made arrangements for her marriage, strongly disapprove of her fascination, to say the least. Defying her parents’ wishes, Sacha flees her home and launches an adventure-filled quest toward the Great North in search of Oloukine and his ship.
Growing up in a big family, we often had to be tight with food. My parents did their best but there were times when there wasn’t enough food in the house to help us to have good nutritional meals.
I often found myself not able to concentrate on school work in the morning because I would be counting down the time for lunch when I could run home and eat because I often didn’t have breakfast.
Now what if I could tell you that if you skip one morning coffee on the way to work, or didn’t buy that bag of chips, you could pay for a nutritional meal for a child?
Really it is that simple. A Toonie.

I know many of us like to make treats for school to have the kids share with their classes or have snacks ready for a child’s party.
I love having snacks ready for when the kids have their friends over for a day in the pool.
Here are 15 recipes for snacks for your children (and you) to enjoy. A few are gluten-free, vegan and nut-free.
