Halloween is one of my favourite holidays. (tied with Christmas.) And I enjoy sitting down with a big bowl of popcorn with the kids to watch some fun Halloween movies.

You don’t have to watch scary movies to get into the Halloween spirit.

I have picked out a list of movies that my kids have enjoyed over the years.


Dora the Explorer: Dora’s Halloween  – $12.99

Watch Dora the Explorer as she goes on 4 fun filled adventures. The first video is about Dora’s Halloween and then the next 3 videos have different episodes for your child to do.

Hocus Pocus – $8.00

Hocus Pocus is one of our favourites. Three sisters come back 17th-century Salem after they’re accidentally conjured up by some unsuspecting pranksters! It’s a night full of zany fun and comic chaos once the tricky 300-year-old trio sets out to cast a spell on the town and reclaim their youth. They need to get their act together before being outsmarted by 3 teens and a cat! 

Halloweentown 1 and 2 – Double Feature – $15.00

Halloweentown is one that you need to watch. It is really one for the whole family. On her 13th birthday, Marnie learns she’s a witch, discovers a secret portal and is transported to HALLOWEENTOWN — a magical place where ghosts and ghouls, witches and werewolves live apart from the human world. but she soon finds herself battling wicked warlocks, evil curses and endless surprises. HALLOWEENTOWN Double Feature will charm pixies, trolls and families everywhere every day of the year.

What’s New Scooby-Doo? , Vol. 3: Halloween Boos and Clues -$7.99

4 adventures of Scooby and the gang to enjoy on this DVD. Get in the Halloween Spirit with this great show.

Casper – $8.99

A Ghost therapist and his daughter arrive in a drafty manor. The greedy owner has hired the ghost therapist to exorcise the house but a friendly ghost named casper becames friend’s with Kat.(the therapist’s daughter.) Casper’s Uncles don’t like “fleshies” in their home. Lots of laughs and action in this movie for children.

Double Double Toil and Trouble – $6.88

The Olsen twins are at it again. This time to help their aunt who has had a spell cast on her by their evil aunt. A great Halloween movie for the family.
