Basic Pork Ribs
3lbs Side or Back Pork Ribs
1Tbsp Freshly Ground Pepper
1 tsp Red Pepper Flakes
2tsp Dried Thyme Leaves
1 to 2 cups of Your Favourite BBQ Sauce
In a small bowl, mix together black pepper, red pepper flakes and thyme. Sprinkle over ribs and place on a baking sheet with meaty side up.
Add hot water to the baking sheets to give about 1/4 inch depth.
Cover baking sheet with foil and place in oven.
Bake at 325 oF until meat begins to recede from rib tips. (about an hour for back ribs and 2 hours for side ribs)
Remove the ribs and discard liquid from tray.
Follow these instructions for what way of cooking you wish to use.
Increase oven to 450 oF.
Brush BBQ sauce on one side of the ribs and cook for about 5 mins or until sauce is bubbly and golden-brown.
Turn ribs over and brush on remaining BBQ sauce and cook for 5 more mins.
Place ribs on a medium-low heat and grill for 15 mins brushing BBQ sauce and turning occasionally.
