Delta Meadowvale Hotel Review

This past weekend Mother’s Day weekend, Mike, Myself and the kids had the pleasure of stay at Delta Meadowvale Hotel and Conference Centre in Mississauga Ontario and reviewing it for Canadian Basics!

I was looking forward to spending a fun filled weekend with my family for Mother’s Day.  We were all excited to check out the hotel! My children love staying in hotels. I think it is just as much an adventure for them to do that as it is to go site seeing.

As a mom, I really like the fact that Delta Hotels and Resorts help to make children feel welcoming at the hotel. For any children up to 7 years of age receive a “Kids’ Essentials” kit upon check in.  Another great offer that Delta Hotels and Resorts has for children is any child 6 and under can eat FREE from the children’s menu and any child ages 7-12 can eat half-price of the regular menu!

When we arrived at Delta Meadowvale Hotel and Conference Centre, we checked in and went up to our room.

We were on the 14th floor and had a balcony. I am afraid of heights but even I went out and checked the view! You could see the CN Tower from our room. That was pretty cool to the kids to be able to see something quite a distance. Right away the children hooked up their electronics to the wifi connection.

I have been in hotels before that the internet drops a lot or it is really hard to get it to connect. I have to say that Delta Hotels and Resort have reliable internet which is important to me. I feel lost without being able to connect to the internet. (What did I ever do before internet service?)

The kids then got their bathing suits on and we went down to the indoor pool.  There were a few children already enjoying the pool with their parents. We put a life jacket on Spencer that was provided by the hotel and the kids went in to the pool. They had a blast. Swimming and chatting with the other kids that were also staying at the hotel.

We then went up to the room and relaxed watching television while the kids played on the laptop and ipad for an hour. I was so relaxed, I didn’t want to leave.

But we headed out to Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament for some fun!

When we came back to the hotel, Spencer was wearing his gear from Medieval Times. He had a crown, shield, light up sword and carrying a flag. The gentleman at the front desk loved it! (I wish I caught his name but I am horrible at remembering names. I am surprised I can remember my children’s friend’s names.)

When we got back to the room to relax before bed, we saw that our beds were made and chocolates and water on the stand. I turned around and saw the platter on the table by the chair. It had fruit , cheese and bread, cookies and milk for the kids. And for Mike and I bottle of Cabernet Franc! It was a nice surprise to come back to the hotel too! As well as a card welcoming us for visiting the hotel as their guests. Spencer didn’t want to share the cookies.midnight snack

In the morning I went with Hayley down to the waterslide and pool. (After I made a coffee in our room and drank it. I needed a wake me up! )  There is also a Starbucks that is open in the morning, if you don’t want to brew your own!

Spencer was tired out from our busy day yesterday and just wanted to relax and play on the computer in our room so Mike stayed with him.

Hayley loved the water slide! She had a blast. I think just for the waterslide alone, the next time we stay in Toronto, we will be booking a room.

Delta Meadowvale Hotel and Conference Centre has something for everyone! The Spa, waterslide, indoor/outdoor pools, putting green, Club Meadowvale and more!

I wish I had had a chance to try out the Club Meadowvale but Hayley enjoyed the waterslide so much, I didn’t want to tear her away so I could go to the gym. Maybe our next visit I can get some tennis in!

Thank you to Delta Meadowvale Hotel and Conference Centre for an amazing time and helping me to make wonderful memories with my children! I am sure this is a weekend that will not be forgotten!

Also a big thank you for letting us go back in the room after we checked out because my daughter forgot her iphone! (She left it in the bed!)

If you are planning on staying in the Toronto area be sure to book a room at the Delta Meadowvale Hotel and Conference Centre.

  1. I've stayed at a lot of hotels over the years but I don't think I've ever stayed at a Delta hotel before.
  2. It's so positively wonderful when you actually find a hotel like the Delta that adds a special touch to your vacation stay and you have that much fun. This was nice to read about.
  3. You know, I may have to talk to the hubby about switching our go to hotel to this one. The rooms and the place itself sound devine and something I would most definately enjoy. Thank you for the great review of the hotel. :)
  4. Many years ago in Florida we stayed at the Delta Orlando resort, the rooms were spacious and the clover leaf shaped pool was a hit with the kids as well as my husband and I
  5. I have never stayed at a Delta Hotel. I seem to find myself at Hilton Homewood Suites. Not for any reason in particular.
