Homemade Bread Recipe

[sam id=”12″ codes=”true”]

I have been wanting to attempt to make homemade bread for awhile.

I decided to try the other day because it was a snow day for the kids so an easy day at our house.

I tried two recipes on the net. Both failed for me. So I decided to try the recipe a fan gave me.

It worked perfectly! I was able to make 4 loaves with it. I recommend this easy to use bread recipe!

Overnight Bread ~ From Bobbi-Jo Pentney

4 cups of lukewarm water
1 cup oil
3/4 cup sugar
1tbsp salt
12 1/2 cups flour
1/4 lukewarm water
2 tbsp. sugar
1 pkg yeast

5 pm mix and set aside 1/4 lukewarm water, 1 packet yeast and 2 tbsp. sugar.
In a big bowl (or kitchen aid) mix 4 cups of luke warm water with oil, sugar, salt and egg. Add yeast combination and mix then work in the flour. Kneed. Leave in a bowl, cover with a towel (Since it was really cold outside to be sure it would work I turned the oven on to 300 and placed bowl on stove with towel)

8 Pm punch down
9:30 roll into 72 buns or 3 loaves or a combination. ( I put the buns into oiled cupcake pans.)

In the morning preheat to 375 and bake until light brown
